Ringwood Set to have 4 Major Hotels!

InterContinental & Accor major players commit to Ringwood

Since the opening of Sage Hotel above Eastland in 2017 other major hotel groups have flocked to Ringwood as the gateway to the Yarra Valley. Sage has proved that Ringwood is a future growth area offering 120 4 star rooms. Now we have another three major hotels set to open.

RINGWOOD RESIDENCES


InterContinental Hotel Group, the parent of Holiday Inn & Suites has committed to the 16 storey ‘Ringwood Residences’ developed 94 Feet located at 301 Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood. This will contain 164 rooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness centre, swimming pool, conference and function facilities. Due for completion at the end of 2020 this $80 Million project will be Ringwood’s tallest building, if only for a short period.

UPDATE: Marriott hotel has been announced as the hotel provider for this multi tower development!

Plans have also been approved for a 19 storey multi tower development at the site of the old Ringwood Iceland site and will include a hotel. This will become the highest building to date in Ringwood taking the crown off Ringwood Residences. THE SEBEL RINGWOOD



Australia’s largest hotel operator Accor are also set to open a new luxury hotel ‘The Sebel Ringwood’ located at 98 Maroondah Highway. This boutique hotel will 103 apartments across a seven-storey development. Amongst the offering will be 48 studio apartments, 48 one-bedroom apartments and seven with two bedrooms. Guest facilities will include a fitness centre, two meeting rooms, restaurant and lobby bar / café.

With a raft of new projects coming to Ringwood and buildings getting ever larger what will the area look like in the years to come?
